All the funding deals in the satellite internet market

In our updated market reports, you will find everything you need
The satellite internet market is attracting funding for broadband constellations, satellite terminals, ground stations, and direct-to-device connectivity.
We conducted deep research and collected 20 satellite internet market funding deals announced between Q1 2024 and Q2 2026.
We refresh this page very often to include new satellite internet market fundraising deals.
Insights
- The 20 satellite internet market deals raised a combined $2.82 billion. However, the three largest rounds represented about 66% of the total funding.
- Shanghai Spacecom Satellite Technology completed the largest satellite internet market deal. The company raised $943 million to develop the SpaceSail broadband constellation.
- Satellite internet market funding slowed sharply in 2025. The disclosed total fell to about $139 million, compared with $1.37 billion in 2024.
- Satellite internet market funding recovered quickly in 2026. The five deals announced through Q2 2026 already represented more than $1.31 billion.
- Investors funded more than satellite constellations. Ground-station companies Skynopy, Northwood Space, and Apolink raised almost $55 million across four deals.
- Satellite terminal and communications hardware companies raised about $406 million. This total includes deals for CesiumAstro, ALL.SPACE, Starwaycomm, Sofant Technologies, and Farcast.
- Astranis, CesiumAstro, AST SpaceMobile, and Skynopy each completed multiple deals. Repeat funding suggests that investors are supporting companies as satellite internet networks move toward commercial scale.
- Direct-to-device satellite connectivity became an important satellite internet market segment. AST SpaceMobile and Skylo raised more than $740 million across the period.
Summary table of the funding deals for the satellite internet market since 2024
We define the satellite internet market as satellite-based broadband networks that deliver internet connectivity to homes, vehicles, enterprises, and remote areas.
It includes LEO Broadband Constellations, Satellite Terminals, Maritime Connectivity, Aviation Connectivity, Rural Broadband Services, and Enterprise Satellite Networks.
It excludes broader adjacent markets unless the product is built specifically for this use case.
We focused exclusively on pure players, defined as companies with at least 70–80% of their business directly tied to the satellite internet market.
Our analysis has been done at a global level with a minimum funding threshold of $300k.
If you want a longer-term view, we also have a study of how funding activity in the satellite internet market has changed over the years.
