- Q2 2024 attracted the most biopharma funding, with approximately $2.3 billion raised across six deals. Xaira Therapeutics was the main reason for this concentration.

- Obesity and metabolic disease attracted significant biopharma investment. Metsera completed two separate rounds, while Kailera Therapeutics and BioAge Labs also raised substantial capital.
- Inflammatory and autoimmune disease companies received strong investor support. Mirador Therapeutics, Candid Therapeutics, AltruBio, Zenas BioPharma, and Calluna Pharma all completed notable rounds.
- Artificial intelligence became an important part of the biopharma market. Xaira Therapeutics and Formation Bio raised a combined $1.37 billion for technology-supported drug development.
- Advanced therapies remained a major biopharma funding category. Investors backed gene therapy, cell therapy, RNA medicines, radiopharmaceuticals, and antibody-based treatments.
